"Okay, Kevin Durant"- Charles Barkley gets flashbacks of infamous interview with Suns star after Luka Doncic's one-word response

Luka Doncic gave Charles Barkley flashbacks of his interview with Kevin Durant from three years ago after the Mavericks star joined the TNT crew on Thursday. Doncic appeared following the Mavs' 124-103 Game 5 win and claiming the Western Conference finals MVP award. During a segment where Kenny Smith asked Doncic about how he would stop the noise around him, the All-Star guard gave a one-worded response and didn't elaborate much:

"Myself."

An awkward silence followed between Doncic and the four panelists on TNT before he broke the silence, saying that he was aware his answer was short. That followed with Barkley hilariously calling out the Slovenian.

"Okay, Kevin Durant," Barkley said in reference to a 2021 interview with the Suns star.

Charles Barkley referred to a December 2020 interview with Kevin Durant when the latter debuted for the Brooklyn Nets. Barkley asked Durant a lengthy question about working his way back through injury after a delayed return. Durant didn't elaborate much and replied:

"Yeah."

The "Inside Guys" made fun of Kevin Durant on the segment shortly as Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith pretended to throw questions at each other just to give a one-word response to mock Durant.

Kevin Durant and Charles Barkley discussed their hilarious viral moment

Kevin Durant and Charles Barkley have had several run-ins and are still beefing. However, they once sat down for a one-on-one almost a year after their hilarious moment on TNT in November 2021. Barkley and Durant agreed it blew up the internet and made great TV.

"We almost blew up the internet that night when you gave me the one-word answer," Barkley said. "First of all, I thought it was hilarious."

Durant explained his side of the story:

"Well you didn't ask me that question ... You just made a statement. And I was thinking you was about to ask me a follow-up question, so I ain't wanna go on rantling about something ... So it was just a miscommunication. It made for good TV for sure."

However, things have remained tense between the two NBA legends since then. Charles Barkley has frequently called out Kevin Durant for not being a leader on the Warriors and other teams he's been on. He has also called the Suns superstar "sensitive."

Meanwhile, Durant hasn't hesitated to give it back, saying that he doesn't respect Barkley's work as an analyst and the things he says.
