Two massive scoring games could see James set the record in New Orleans, but he's most likely to do so next week, when the Lakers return for a two-game homestand. After the game against Indiana on Tuesday, he Milwaukee Bucks visit on Thursday.
James, who has 38,299 points, is bound to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record, which has stood at 38,387 points since he retired in 1989. The record was thought to be impossible to break, but LeBron has shown that anything is possible for him. As a pass-first type of player, the Lakers forward proved that he can be the best scorer in league history.
