"One of my favorite 'F-U' moments" - Gabrielle Union sheds light on her favorite Dwyane Wade game in Heat uniform
Gabrielle Union witnessed some of Dwyane Wade's most memorable moments during his NBA career as his partner. The Hollywood actress holds big memories from the time the three-time NBA champion lit the league up with the Miami Heat.
After Josh Richardson recalled the greatest performance he saw from a teammate, Union didn't hesitate to hype up her husband. Talking with Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller on the "OG Show," Richardson praised one of Wade's biggest career games.
"Everybody knows this story. Purple shirt, man. This was Game 6 in Charlotte 'cause it was coming home next game. And this is an elimination game. And I was on the court. I might as well been in the stands with some popcorn. He had like 25 points in the last 11 minutes of the game, 10 minutes of the game. And he's making fadeaway," Richardson said.
"D-Wade don't much shoot 3s. D-Wade shooting step back threes, turn around and looking at this dude at the sidelines all the way back. I was like, 'No way.' And I'm literally standing on the wing every time down the court, throwing him the ball. I'm literally just like, 'What's he gonna do now?'"
Union shared this video on her Instagram story, adding her point of view about that game.
"One of my favorite "F-U" moments of @dwyanewade career. I was losing my mind!!!," she wrote.
Richardson might have missed some details about this game since Wade scored 10 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter against the Charlotte Hornets in Game 6 of their first-round series in 2016.
He finished that game with six rebounds, four assists, two steals and three blocks to lead the Heat to a 97-90 win that forced Game 7 in that series. In the end, the Heat would win the series with a convincing 107-73 win against the Hornets in the win-or-go-home match.
Gabrielle Union congratulates Dwyane Wade after winning an Emmy
Before she recalled this memorable performance from her husband, Gabrielle Union was cheering Dwyane Wade up on her Instagram stories after the NBA legend won an Emmy Award. Wade earned the achievement after "The Dads" won a Daytime Emmy Award. He acted as an executive producer of the movie and Union couldn't be happier about this win.
"Congratulations baby!!!! EMMY WINNER!!!!!" Union captioned her story.
The last couple of months have been full of joy for Dwyane Wade, as he's won more awards for different causes. The NBA legend is set to debut as an analyst for the USA men's basketball team at the Paris Olympics.
