"One of the realest": Rob Dillingham showers love on girlfriend with a wholesome birthday wish

Rob Dillingham made a name for himself as a shifty scoring guard during his lone season with the Kentucky Wildcats. He then decided to turn pro and was selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the eighth pick, before getting traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves on draft night. While Dillingham continues to prepare for his NBA debut, he is enjoying some quality time with his girlfriend, Ramiyah Guerra, in celebration of her birthday.

Dillingham shared a snap of himself alongside his girlfriend in matching all-black outfits on his Instagram stories with a birthday caption.

"Ya'll wish my dawg a happy bday man," Dillingham posted. "One of the realeast I know on Earth. I love you man, @ramiyahmarie."

The 19-year-old has been balancing his time well, as he has been having a solid Summer League, with averages of 9.3 points (27.8% shooting), 6.7 assists, and 4.3 rebounds in three games so far.

Rob Dillingham is willing to learn the ropes to fit well with the Minnesota Timberwolves

The environments in which each rookie enters the league vary from being the face of the franchise to being viewed as a potential rotation piece for a championship-level team.

When it comes to Rob Dillingham, he is aware of the opportunity presented to him and is already looking forward to learning everything he can from his Timberwolves teammates.

"(0:09) Coming into this, I've just got to learn everything," Dilingham said. "The first game is just me trying to get comfortable and learn from my teammates. I can't really play the game while not scoring the ball, so I've got to attack to create, and I feel like that is my game, so I can't go away from my game."

Minnesota finished as the third seed (56-26 record) in the Western Conference last season. They were able to eliminate Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in the second round but came up short against Luka Doncic's Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.

While Rob Dillingham has yet to begin his rookie campaign, it's a good sign that the young guard is eager to absorb what his teammates will teach him.

With a veteran presence in Mike Conley playing the point guard position and an electric shooting guard in Anthony Edwards, Dillingham certainly has the right mentors in place as a rookie.

Most rookies come into the NBA with an unshakeable chip on their shoulders that sometimes hamper their growth as players. Luckily for Minnesota, Rob Dillingham is willing to mix his style of play with the guidance his teammates will pass down to him.
