Orlando Magic vs Milwaukee Bucks player stats and box score (Dec. 10) | 2024-25 NBA season

The Milwaukee Bucks are going to Las Vegas for the semifinals of the Emirates NBA Cup after beating the Orlando Magic 114-109 on Tuesday. Damian Lillard made multiple clutch shots, while Giannis Antetokounmpo sank two important free throws late in the game. The Bucks will face the winner of the Atlanta Hawks-New York Knicks showdown on Wednesday.

Jalen Suggs' 18 fourth-quarter points nearly dragged the Magic to an upset of the Buckets. He also missed two 3-pointers that could have turned the game around late in the final frame. Still, it was a gritty showing from the visitors who didn't have Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner due to injuries.

Orlando Magic vs Milwaukee Bucks Game Summary

The Orlando Magic visited the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday in the first quarterfinal game of the Emirates NBA Cup. Orlando, the Eastern Conference wildcard team, played without Gary Harris, Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner.

The Magic leaned on a balanced attack behind Wendell Carter Jr. and rookie Tristan da Silva to take a 33-25 lead. The duo combined for 12 points in the opening quarter. Mo Wagner, Jett Howard and Anthony Black gave the visitors a big lift off the bench.

Bobby Portis led the Bucks' charge in the second quarter with 12 of his 16 points. Giannis Antetokounmpo added nine to finish the first half with 20 points, two rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Milwaukee held a thin 60-59 edge at halftime.

The offensive rhythm in the first half between the Magic and Bucks did not show up in the third quarter. A defensive slugfest ensued where the Bucks outscored their visitors 20-13 to push their lead to 80-72 heading into the fourth quarter.

After 13 points in the third quarter, the Magic dropped 37 in the fourth period behind Jalen Suggs’ 18 points. Orlando pushed Milwaukee, but the superstar duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard carried the Bucks to a 114-109 victory. Lillard hit one clutch shot after another while Antetokounmpo made crucial free throws. The Bucks booked a ticket to Las Vegas for the semifinal round.
