Paolo Banchero Stats Tonight: How did Magic star fare against 76ers? (Jan. 12)
Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic took on the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday. It's his second game back since his torn oblique injury. Banchero didn't seem like he missed a step as he put up 34 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block on his return against the Milwaukee Bucks last Friday.
Fast forward to Sunday, Banchero looked to repeat the same performance as he tried to lead the Magic to victory. Unfortunately, the exact opposite happened as the star forward struggled to find his rhythm. During the first half, Paolo struggled to find his shot as he wasn't able to hit double digits in scoring.
The same could be said in the third quarter as he finished with nine points at the beginning of the second half. It was mainly Cole Anthony carrying most of the load for the Orlando Magic as he scored 25 points within the first three quarters.
Ultimately, the Magic came up with a 104-99 win. Paolo Banchero eventually found his rhythm and finished the game with 20 points. He also added eight rebounds and six assists in 27 minutes.
Magic vs 76ers: Paolo Banchero's late-game resurgence leads Orland to victory
The Orlando Magic went up against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night. It was a close game between both teams as the score was neck-and-neck each quarter. Ultimately, it was the Magic who came out on top as they secured a 104-99 victory over the 76ers.
The main star of the show was Cole Anthony. The Magic guard led his team with 27 points and took charge in the first three quarters. Despite having a slow start to his game, Paolo Banchero had a late-game resurgence in the fourth quarter and scored 11 points in the final period to help Orlando seal the deal.
Then there was Jonathan Isaac who had a double-double performance to help Banchero and Anthony lead the Magic. Isaac added 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Orlando is now back in the win column after losing two straight against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Milwaukee Bucks. The Magic remain in fourth place with a 23-18 record.
They are set to face the Bucks once again on Wednesday in a rematch of Friday's game.
