Patrick Beverley set to return to Israel despite security concerns while Tel Aviv’s 6 players and HC stay in Sofia: Report

This offseason, Patrick Beverley decided to take his professional career back overseas. Following some recent unrest in the Middle East, reports have emerged regarding the journeyman guard's travel plans, via Sportando.

Over the past few weeks, Israel has engaged in attacks on Lebanon and Iran. This has resulted in six Tel Aviv players and their head coach halting their traveling. That said, Beverley is among those expected to still return to Israel.

The 36-year-old Patrick Beverley found himself at a crossroads this summer. He likely could have stayed in the NBA, but it probably would have been on a minimum contract with a reduced role. Already having some experience playing in Europe, he decided to go back overseas to be a feature player for Tel Aviv. Due to the recent unrest in the country, Beverley finds himself in a rocky situation.

Beverley was on an NBA roster as recently as last season. He began the year with the Philadelphia 76ers but was shipped to the Milwaukee Bucks at the trade deadline. Beverley was productive for both squads in a backup point guard role, averaging 6.2 points and 2.9 assists.

Patrick Beverley provides positive update on social media

Following all the recent news regarding the fighting in Israel, Patrick Beverley seemed to have a lot of people checking in on him. Earlier this week, he took to social media to give the world an update on his situation.

Beverley made a post on X (formerly Twitter) to let the world know that he is safe where he is. He also showed his appreciation for those who reached out to make sure he was doing okay.

With his most recent post, Patrick Beverley seems ready to dive into what's going on in his world at the moment. The three-time NBA All-Defense guard is dropping a new episode of his podcast this week, and he plans on "talking about everything."

This could mean anything, but Beverley is likely referring to what is going on in the Middle East at the moment.

For the most part, Patrick Beverley has used his podcast to share his thoughts on everything going on around the NBA. However, things have changed slightly since he opted to sign with Tel Aviv this summer. Over the past few weeks, Beverley has made numerous posts to show what life has been like as a pro outside of the United States.

As a former NBA player, Beverley has garnered a lot of attention from fans on his new team. He even went as far as to compare himself to LeBron James on one occasion. Current world issues aside, Beverley seems to be making the most of this chapter of his career.
