James, who didn't score in the first quarter, finished with 21 points, 13 assists, 12 rebounds and three blocks. The Lakers also got solid production from D'Angelo Russell who was benched by JJ Redick to start the game. "D-Lo" responded with 18 points, three assists and two rebounds.
The gritty 76ers got contributions from across the roster to give the home team a fight. Andre Drummond and Caleb Martin combined for 27 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Rookie Jared McCain arguably had his best game this season with 18 points, three rebounds and two assists.

The hosts started hot behind Anthony Davis who had 15 first-quarter points. LeBron James did not score a point but had six rebounds, four assists and three blocks. D'Angelo Russell, benched for Cam Reddish, had seven points.
Paul George, Andre Drummond and Kyle Lowry kept the 76ers within striking distance. Gerschon Yabusele came off the bench to add 11 points, three rebounds and one steal. The Frenchman's energy and hustle boosted the visitors who trailed 68-60 at halftime.
The LA Lakers stepped up defensively in the third quarter, limiting the Philadelphia 76ers to 21 points. James had seven points and four assists in the period to help LA to a 96-81 lead entering the final frame.
The 76ers cut the lead to 100-90 after a Caleb Martin 3-pointer before "King James" responded with a triple. James and Co. answered every Philly mini-run to win 116-106. The victory improved the Lakers' record to 5-4 and dropped the 76ers slate to 1-7
