Phoenix Suns injury report (Nov. 30): 3x All-Star and starter uncertain to play
An exciting NBA matchup awaits the Phoenix Suns, as they welcome divisional rivals Golden State Warriors to Footprint on Saturday. However, the main talking point ahead of the game is the availability of two key players, Bradley Beal (calf) and Jusuf Nurkic (knee), as both have been listed as questionable.
The Suns had a major off day and will look to bounce back from a shock 127-117 defeat to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. The Phoenix outfit had previously dominated the LA Lakers with a 127-100 victory in the Emirates NBA Cup, but that came after enduring a five-game losing streak.
Both Beal and Nurkic played in Wednesday's loss to the Nets. Beal, who's a three-time All-star guard, scored 17 points and grabbed three rebounds before exiting the game due to left ankle soreness and calf tightness. Nurkic, who has been battling ankle injuries, contributed six points, three rebounds and one assist in 17 minutes of action.
There's a possibility that both the players may feature on Saturday, with Mike Budenholzer having a decision to make on whether both are fully recovered from injury.
Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns head-to-head
In terms of the head-to-head record between the two teams, the Phoenix Suns have had the better of proceedings, with 150 wins to the Warriors' 113.
Over their last eight appearances since 2022, the Suns have won six times, with the Warriors winning once each in the last two regular seasons.
This will be first meeting between the two teams this season. After a storming start to the season, Stever Kerr’s team has hit a pothole. They were the Western Conference leaders last week, but a run of three defeats this week has seen them fall to third, so they will hope to change that on Saturday.
