Photo: Kevin Durant's 6-foot-11 frame nearly gets matched by Sparks rookie Cameron Brink
One thing that has helped Kevin Durant become an all-time great in the NBA is his nearly seven-foot slender frame. A recent photo showed that a WNBA rookie is close to matching the height of the 2014 NBA MVP.
On Thursday, Durant was part of Boardroom and CNBC's second annual Game Plan event. He is the co-founder of Boardroom alongside his business manager Rich Kleiman. The Phoenix Suns star was one of many athletes and celebrities in attendance.
Among the other notable names at the event was WNBA rookie Cameron Brink. She posed for a photo with Durant where she appeared to be almost as tall as him.
Brink was the No. 2 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, but her rookie campaign was cut short due to an ACL injury. In her first 15 games as a pro, she averaged 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks.
At the start of this season, Brink was listed as 6-foot-4 with a 6-foot-8 wingspan. As for Durant, his exact height is not certain, but Basketball Reference has the 2014 NBA MVP forward at 6-foot-11.
Kevin Durant reacts to his NBA 2K25 rating
On Sept. 6, NBA 2K25 hit the shelves. When he found out his overall rating, Kevin Durant was not pleased.
On Thursday, Durant posted a clip on X where he and New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner were asked to name the top 10 highest-rated players in NBA 2K25.
The two-time NBA champion is part of the list at No. 9. Among those ahead of him include superstars like LeBron James, Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic. After hearing the ratings of those ahead of him, Durant shared his thoughts. He said he needed to talk to somebody about getting his overall rating increased.
"I'm a 94? That's crazy," Durant said. "Like for real though, that's crazy. I'm about to get on somebody's a** about that."
Despite turning 36 later this month, Durant is still a high-level talent in the NBA. Last season, he averaged 27.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.0 assists.
With older stars like LeBron and Steph Curry ahead of him, Durant could have a case for a higher rating. Durant remains one of the NBA's most lethal scorers and could see an increase in his overall rating when updates are released later in the year.
