The Indiana Pacers have one of the best young cores in the Eastern Conference and are looking to replicate their 2023-24 run to the conference finals. This season, the Pacers have struggled, getting out to a 10-15 record through their first 25 games.
On Wednesday afternoon, Pacers stars Obi Toppin and Tyrese Haliburton treated their partners to a double date.
Haliburton's girlfriend, Jade Jones, shared a snapshot of the couples' evening out in her Instagram story, joined by Toppin's partner, Magdalena Bellinger.
"Movie dates," Jones captioned her Instagram post.
Tyrese Haliburton and Jade Jones have been together since college. Both attended Iowa State, with Haliburton shining on the basketball court and Jones cheering with the Cyclones' cheerleading squad.
Obi Toppin has been with Magdalena Bellinger since 2020 and began their relationship during Toppin's rookie season. The couple share one child, along with Toppin's son Daniel, who he shares with his ex-girlfriend.
Obi Toppin, Tyrese Haliburton struggle in loss versus Hornets
Tyrese Haliburton and Obi Toppin were probably looking to clear their minds with their double date after struggling in Indiana's loss versus the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. The Pacers suffered a 113-109 loss to the Hornets, falling to 10-15 on the season.
Tyrese Haliburton scored nine points on 4-of-10 shooting, failing to connect from 3-point range despite four attempts from beyond the arc. Haliburton accounted for his tough shooting night with a solid eight-assist performance.
Toppin finished as Indiana's third-leading bench scorer with 11 points but also struggled from the field, shooting just 4 of 11. Despite the tough performance, Toppin mustered three 3-pointers in nine attempts.
The Pacers' duo has performed well this season despite Sunday's struggles. In 25 games, Haliburton is Indiana's third-leading scorer, averaging 17.5 points, a team-high 8.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game. Toppin is the team's second-leading bench scorer, averaging 10.1 ppg, 3.8 rpg and 1.8 apg, shooting 53.3% from the field.
