Nina Westbrook, the wife of NBA star Russell Westbrook, showed off her fun side on social media this week with a series of party pics from a Halloween bash. The California native went dressed up as the famous cultural icon Rosie the Riveter and pulled of the look perfectly in a red and white bandana and all-denim outfit.

In her IG story that was posted on Monday, Westbrook can be seen enjoying a night out at the "7 Nights of Fright" event, which was sponsored by Jack Daniels. She shared several images alongside her friends.

Rosie the Riveter is a popular allegorical icon in American culture. She is a symbol of the hard work women put in during the second World War when many men enlisted in the military and shipped out to war. The bandana look with rolled up sleeves represents the women who worked in factories and shipyards during that era.

Nina Westbrook met her husband Russell Westbrook at UCLA during their college days and the two were married in 2015. The couple had three children together since 2017.

Nina Westbrook is a licensed marriage and family therapist and regularly posts about relationships and health on her Instagram account.

After three years in Southern California with the LA Lakers and LA Clippers, Russell Westbrook made the decision to move out of the state this offseason. The former NBA MVP signed a two-year contract with the Denver Nuggets and while Los Angeles is still considered home for the Westbrook family, they now spend a lot of their time in Colorado.

Russell Westbrook was born and raised in the Los Angeles area and while he has now moved to Denver, the NBA star continues to give back to the community in Southern California.

In September, Russell and his wife, Nina Westbrook, unveiled the new-look Westbrook Academy facility in the South Gate, which is located in southern Los Angeles County. The project was a partnership between Westbrook's Why Not? Foundation and the LA Promise Fund.

Westbrook released a collection of photos on his Instagram account to celebrate the event and shared a special message:

"Thinkā€¦ WHYNOT? Grateful and blessed beyond words. For the inner city."
