PHOTOS: Scottie Pippen's daughters and son celebrate 6xNBA champ's 59th birthday with never-before-seen pics in tender tributes
Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen is turning 59 today and his kids took to social media to celebrate the six-time NBA champion. Taylor, Sophia and Memphis Grizzlies guard Scotty Pippen Jr. sent messages to their father on Instagram, sharing their love for the former point-forward.
"Happy birthday!!" Taylor wrote.
"happy birthday dad i love you❤️," Sophia captioned the post.
"Happy birthday Dad💯@scottiepippen," Scotty Jr. wrote.
Scottie Pippen has more kids than NBA championships after welcoming seven. Antron, Taylor, Tyler, Sierra, Scotty Jr., Preston, Justin and Sophia were the result of his past relationships with Karen McCollum, Sonya Roby, Yvette Deleone and Larsa Pippen.
Taylor, 30, is Scottie's second kid and first daughter. Even though he initially denied paternity, Scottie and Taylor appear to have come closer in recent times.
Scotty Jr., 23, is the first kid Scottie and Larsa Pippen had. He's followed in his father's footsteps, pursuing a basketball career. He even played for the LA Lakers before landing in Memphis on a two-way deal with the Grizzlies last season. Sophia, 16, is Scottie and Larsa's youngest child.
Pippen became one of the greatest players in the NBA during his impressive run alongside Michael Jordan, winning six championships in six trips to the Finals. His team thus became one of the best dynasties the league has seen.
Scottie Pippen shares profound message citing age for new knowledge
A couple of weeks ago, Scottie Pippen shared a message for fans on Instagram, noting how his perspective has changed when it comes to spending as he grew older.
"As you get older, you'll realize that a $30,000 watch and a $30 watch both tell the same time. A Gucci wallet and a Target wallet both hold the same amount of money. A $10,000,000 house and a $100,000 house host the same loneliness. A Ford will also drive you as far as a Bentley.
"True happiness is not found in materialistic things, it comes from the love and laughter found with each other. Stay humble. The holes dug for us in the ground are all the same size."
Scottie Pippen has been involved in controversy in the past two years or so after he went after Michael Jordan following the success the award-winning docu-series 'The Last Dance' had. He's keeping a low profile now, seemingly spending time with his kids and trying to help fans on social media.
