PJ Washington’s baby mama Brittany Renner admits being broke in emotional message: “My outer world has completely crumbled”

Before getting married to Alisah Chanel, PJ Washington had his first child with Brittany Renner in 2021. Years after the two split up, Renner seems to be going through a rough patch in life.

Renner, 32, is a social media influencer and actress. Earlier this summer, she decided to go through a major life change and embrace the Muslim religion.

Over the weekend, PJ Washington's ex posted an emotional video on Instagram. While speaking about her life at the moment, she admitted to facing difficulties in her life, including in providing for her son.

"I've gone through a lot of changes internally, and as a result, my outer world has completely crumbled," Renner said. "I have no idea where I'm going to live or how I'm going to provide for my son."

Washington and Renner first met when the former was in college, but didn't start dating until 2020. A year later, they welcomed PJ Washington Jr. into the world.

As for the young forward, he is coming off one of the best stretches in his NBA career. After being traded from the Charlotte Hornets to the Dallas Mavericks, he helped them reach the finals with stellar two-way play in the postseason.

In 22 playoff games last season, Washington averaged 13.0 points while shooting 34.8% from beyond the arc.

PJ Washington speaks on Dallas Mavericks acquiring Klay Thompson

Last season, PJ Washington got to play alongside a pair of All-Stars in Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Moving forward, he'll be a complementary piece to one of the NBA's newest big threes.

Shortly after their NBA Finals defeat, the Dallas Mavericks got to work making upgrades to the roster. The biggest splash they made was acquiring Klay Thompson from the Golden State Warriors via a sign-and-trade.

Despite coming off what many are considering a down year, many believe the former All-Star and champion will thrive in this new setting.

During a recent interview, PJ Washington was asked about the Mavs going out and getting Thompson in free agency. He feels the sharpshooting guard will bring a lot to the table on and off the floor.

“I think he brings a lot to our team,” Washington said. “A lot of leadership. Obviously, he’s been at the top of the mountain for a while. So, I think it’s great that he’s on our team, and he gives us some knowledge as well, too.”

Thompson might not be the player he once was, but he's still capable of being impactful on a good team. Last season, he averaged 17.9 points while shooting 38.7% from three on high volume. Adding a lethal outside threat to their star guard duo should make Dallas even tougher to defend on a nightly basis.
