Precious Achiuwa trashtalks Knicks teammate Josh Hart over football fandom: "Chelsea fan?"
New York Knicks teammates Precious Achiuwa and Josh Hart may have a bit of lighthearted beef stemming from Hart's support of Chelsea FC. This week, reports emerged indicating that the football club is considering changing their stance on middie Conor Gallagher. While the club had previously been preparing to sell, they now appear poised to return to the negotiating table in hopes of working out a deal.
The news hit the internet on Wednesday morning in America, with New York Knicks standout Josh Hart weighing in. Along with reposting the news, Hart wrote:
"Please don't sell him", making it clear that he hopes the two sides can come to an agreement.
In the comments section, Chelsea supporters seemed divided, with some of the mindset that Hart is right and the club should retain Gallagher. Others, meanwhile, pointed out that not only is a deal unlikely to come to fruition, but the club could also do with getting Gallagher's contract off the books.
Then there was Precious Achiuwa and many fans who had just come to the realization that Josh Hart is a Chelsea supporter. Along with a thumbs down emoji, Achiuwa wrote:
"Chelsea fan?"
Check out the post below:
Hart has yet to respond to his teammate, but he has been a longtime supporter of Chelsea FC for some time.
Looking at Josh Hart's support of Chelsea FC amid Precious Achiuwa tweet
While Precious Achiuwa may have just come to the realization that Josh Hart is a Chelsea fan, the NBA vet has continued to showcase his support for the club online.
For example, in 2021, amid the news that Gareth Bale used his time at Tottenham to get fit for Euros, Josh Hart joined in with fans in cracking jokes. At the time, Hart likened Bale spending time with Tottenham to him spending time in the G League.
In a series of posts on social media, Hart wrote:
"Bale really used Tottenham for training"
He then followed it up with another post taking aim at Tottenham:
"No disrespect at all..I played in the g-league for some games. You go there, get reps and work in. That's what Bale just did with Tottenham"
While Hart has been a vocal online fan, the following year he became even more active in the Chelsea FC community.
When fans of the club started an online collection to fund Stamford Bridge banners for Cesar Azpilicueta and Reese James, Hart funded most of the goal with a $2,500 donation.
Moreover, Hart has also shared several photos over the years on social media of himself at Stamford Bridge watching Chelsea play in-person. The big question now is which club Precious Achiuwa supports?
