Prime Shaquille O'Neal meme hits NBA Twitter as Donald Trump coins wild Kamala Harris phrase

Shaquille O'Neal has transcended the world of basketball to become a notable figure in pop culture. The four-time NBA champion has served a lot of people to create memes, and one of the latest tries to explain how his professional career can translate to the nicknames that presidential candidates have had over the years.

The post, shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, by user @TrillBroDude, shows how Donald Trump's nicknames for Democratic candidates aren't as strong or smart as they used to be.

It starts with "Crooked Hillary"' which was coined for Hillary Clinton before the 2016 election. This one is represented by O'Neal on the Orlando Magic, where he started his career and proved to be a force to be reckoned with.

It is followed by "Sleepy Joe," a nickname given to Joe Biden, who beat Trump in the 2020 election and dropped his re-election campaign on Sunday. This one was represented by Shaq on the LA Lakers, where he won a three-peat from 2000 through 2002.

The third one is "Crazy Bernie," a nickname given to former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, who couldn't get the nod to compete for the presidency in the last two terms. This nickname is represented by Shaquille O'Neal on the Miami Heat, where he won his fourth and last NBA title.

At last, we have "Laughing Kamala," which was coined for new Democratic candidate and current vice president Kamala Harris. After Joe Biden dropped out of the race, Harris was selected to replace him against Trump. This one is represented by Shaq on the Boston Celtics, which is considered the worst NBA version of O'Neal.

Shaquille O'Neal wore a "Vote for Me" T-shirt last year

Although Shaquille O'Neal hasn't shown strong interest in a career in politics, the Big Diesel is up to date with all the things happening in the country. Last year, he surprised several fans when a picture of himself wearing a "Vote for Me" T-shirt made the rounds on social media.

Even though this wasn't anything serious, plenty of fans reacted to the Reebok-produced T-shirt, most of them positively. O'Neal has collected honors during his life and now is a police officer, DJ, doctor, TV host and an NBA legend, among other things.

If Shaq wants to buff that resume, becoming president would do.
