Pronoia > Paranoia: Kyrie Irving shares motivational message ahead of NBA Finals Game 3 in Dallas

Dallas Mavericks superstar Kyrie Irving shared a motivational message ahead of the NBA Finals Game 3 against Boston Celtics. Irving took to X and wrote a message, seemingly trying to uplift the spirits of his teammates and fans with Dallas down 0-2 in the ongoing NBA Finals.

Irving urged his "tribe" to keep God 1st and stick together no matter what the circumstance. He also wrote "Pronoia > Paranoia" in his message.

"Tribe, Keep God 1st and stay together no matter what. Pronoia >Paranoia. Hélà," Irving wrote on X.

According to Mental Health America, Paranoia is when a person experiences "intense anxious or fearful feelings and thoughts."

Meanwhile, the National Library of Medicine describes Pronoia as "the positive counterpart of paranoia." People experiencing pronoia feel as if certain events are happening in their favor.

Irving's message on X instantly went viral and caught the attention of his fans and other basketball followers. The 32-year-old superstar has been vocal about the importance of "mental health" throughout his career.

Dallas needs Kyrie Irving to take over the NBA Finals

Talking about the ongoing NBA Finals, the Dallas Mavericks have gone down a 0-2 hole to start the seven-game series. The Boston Celtics took care of their home court and applied more pressure on the Mavericks.

A major reason behind Jason Kidd's slipping into a 0-2 hole has been Kyrie Irving. The one-time NBA champion has struggled to get going so far against the Celtics in the NBA Finals.

Irving's lack of game-defining plays on the offensive end and struggles shooting the ball have adversely impacted the Mavericks' performance in the Finals thus far.

Irving is averaging 14 points, 4 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 2 games in the 2024 NBA Finals so far. The numbers don't do justice to Irving's unrivaled talent and potential.

In Game 1, the 32-year-old shot 31.6% from the field while in Game 2 he shot 38.9% from the floor. What's even more shocking is that Irving is yet to knock down a three-pointer. The Mavericks' superstar has gone 0-8 from beyond the arc in the previous two games. Irving went 0-5 and 0-3 in Game 1 and Game 2 respectively.

As the NBA Finals shifts to Dallas for Game 3 and Game 4, Kyrie Irving's performance will dictate the outcome of the upcoming matches. Dallas supporters will be hoping that Irving returns to being the "killer" he has proven to be throughout his career and gets the team back on track.
