"Proud of you my love" - Larsa Pippen admires Scotty Pippen Jr.'s latest post about his challenging NBA journey
Scotty Pippen Jr.’s basketball career is flourishing after toiling in the G League for roughly two years. An undrafted rookie out of Vanderbilt, he played six games for the LA Lakers during the 2022-23 season. He was eventually sent to the South Bay Lakers to hone his game until the Memphis Grizzlies signed him to a two-way contract in January.
Larsa Pippen’s son performed well during the last few months of the Grizzlies’ regular season campaign. The reality TV star was always on Instagram congratulating, encouraging, or giving Memphis’ backup guard recognition.
On Wednesday, Pippen Jr. went on Instagram to share a clip of what analysts said about him last season in the NBA. Included in the video were the comments about his impressive Summer League campaign in Las Vegas.
Larsa Pippen re-posted the IG video and shared her heartwarming thoughts:
“@spippenjr this made me [cry emoji] I’m so proud of u my love”
Since signing with the Memphis Grizzlies, Scottie Pippen’s son has thrived.
In the Grizzlies’ semi-final win against the LA Clippers, Pippen Jr. finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. He completed just the sixth triple-double in the tournament’s history. Two nights later, he nearly dragged his team to the championship before losing 120-118 to the Miami Heat.
Scotty Pippen Jr. had 29 points, 11 assists, four rebounds, four steals and two blocks. He would have likely won MVP had the Grizzlies edged the Heat in the thrilling duel.
