The game concluded with the Warriors clinching a 111-93 win against the Pistons at home to go 3-0 in the NBA preseason. Quentin Post finished the game with three points and one rebound in just over six minutes of playtime while shooting 25% from the field.
Golden State selected Post with their 52nd overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft and have the 7-foot center signed to a two-way contract. Not only is he the tallest player on the Warriors' roster, but he is also arguably one of their more natural shooters from a long distance. The big man shot 43.1% from deep in his last season for Boston College and 42.6% the year before.
Quinten Post's girlfriend Marice Aguiar has viral reaction to celebrate draft selection
Quinten Post's girlfriend Marice Aguiar's heartwarming reaction to his name being announced in the 2024 NBA draft previously went viral in June. Aguiar shared a video of the moment Post's name was announced in the draft and their heartwarming celebration afterward.
In the video, Post and his girlfriend sat in anticipation with their hands to their faces while his father was recording the announcement. As soon as his name was called, Aguiar jumped onto his lap and tightly hugged him, while his parents also joined the celebration shortly afterward.
Aguiar posted the video on her Instagram and coupled it with a heartwarming message for the Warriors rookie.
“No words can describe how proud I am of you. You deserve the world and more. Congratulations to my whole world, your career is just beginning,” Aguiar captioned her IG story.
The Golden State Warriors had previously traded their second-round pick to the OKC Thunder but reacquired the pick for cash to draft Quinten Post. They also made room for his two-way contract by waving Daeqwon Plowden.
Post's big-man and shooting combo profile is anticipated to give the Warriors a much-needed boost on both ends of the floor, similar to what James Wiseman was previously expected to bring to the team.
