Raiders star Maxx Crosby makes his choice in the LeBron James vs Kobe Bryant GOAT conversation
Kobe Bryant had a career that was very much unlike LeBron James and Michael Jordan. As much as it might seem like the GOAT debate is limited to The King vs His Airness, Bryant has a large fan following and a large part of the sports world has titled him as the NBA GOAT.
One of the many big names who has crowned Bryant as the GOAT over Jordan or LeBron is the NFL star for the Las Vegas Raiders Maxx Crosby. In conversation with Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller, Crosby said that he would take the former LA Lakers star over the current if he wanted to win Game 7 and win a title.
"My GOAT list, I am taking Kobe over LeBron. I think LeBron, like I respect his greatness, like his is top three no question. But if it really comes down to it, like in my opinion, you got Game 7 on the line, I am taking MJ, I am taking Kobe, if I want to win a title. That's just my opinion."
Kobe Bryant has played six Game 7s in his career. He has lost only once in Game 7, which came against the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs. In six Game 7s, Bryant averaged 22.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.
On the other hand, LeBron James has played eight Game 7s in his career and has an impressive 6-2 record. While he has lost two Game 7s, he has played two more games than Bryant. He has won his last six Game 7s.
James has been phenomenal in all elimination games in his career. In Game 7s, LeBron James averages 34.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.9 blocks per game.
Maxx Crosby doesn't like LeBron James because he took Dwyane Wade's stardom away from him
Miami Heat's LeBron James has arguably the greatest stretch of a basketball player that the NBA fans have witnessed. In four seasons, he won two titles and went to the NBA Finals every season.
However, even before James arrived, the Magic City had a star in Dwyane Wade, after leading his team to the 2006 NBA title. Just like many others, Wade became Maxx Crosby's favorite player.
"The first dude that was like my favorite player was [Dwyane Wade]," Crosby stated. "I had his jersey, I was a die-hard D-Wade fan. People give me hate about my LeBron takes because I'm Kobe, [Michael Jordan] and D-Wade, those are my guys."
However, Crosby's heart was shattered when LeBron James arrived in Miami and Wade became the second star behind him. Crosby said that his beef with LBJ started when he arrived in Miami.
"Once LeBron went to Miami, that's when my beef started with LeBron, because I couldn't root for D-Wade the same. People called me a bandwagon. I'm from Michigan and the Pistons were so bad, so D-Wade was like my savior. Then LeBron f****d that all up," Crosby added.
The Raiders star also said that he would talk to the Lakers star when he meets him.
