Rapper Cam'ron claps back at LiAngelo Ball's three-minute rant about his music career: "NBA season started, where you at?"

The back and forth between rapper Cam'ron and former professional basketball player LiAngelo Ball continued this week, with the musician responding to the athlete on his sports show "It Is What It Is." The rapper clapped back after the California native questioned his quality as a musician.

Cam'ron, or Killa Cam as he is known by many of his fans, seemed to start the dispute during an earlier episode of his show when he joked that LiAngelo's brothers, LaMelo and Lonzo, had to get him a tryout for a team in China.

That led to LiAngelo replying over his own podcast "What an Experience" in a three-minute tirade. The 25-year-old called out Cam'ron for having a somewhat underwhelming music career.

"I’ve never talked to someone and you’ve been in [their] top five, top 10, bro. I’ve never heard your name in no rap convo ... We in the same boat ... I didn’t make the league and you ain’t in no top 10s," said Ball.

Cameron was unwilling to let Ball's comments go and responded with a sharp retort in the latest episode of the "It Is What It Is" show.

"The NBA season just started, where you at," said Cam'ron.

Cam'ron listed his impressive achievements as a rapper and producer.

"I sold 12 million records. We not in the same boat. A championship for musicians is when you go platinum," said Cam'ron. "I got 12 chips. I sold 12 million records."

LiAngelo Ball was a highly-rated player out of Chino Hill High School. Alongside his brothers Lonzo and LaMelo, who are with the Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets, respectively, LiAngelo went on to win a state championship.

Ball passed up on the opportunity to play college ball at UCLA in favor of trying his luck overseas. He played in Lithuania and more recently in the Mexican professional league.

LiAngelo Ball did not have much success when it came to the NBA. Ball featured in the G League with the Greensboro Swarm but is yet to play a game in the NBA.

Last month, a video surfaced on social media showing Ball working out hard. Ball showed off his new style, in which he appears bulked up.
