"Really like watching Josh Allen play football": LeBron James heaps praise on Bills QB for impressive outing vs Jaguars

NBA star LeBron James expressed his admiration for quarterback Josh Allen, who led the Buffalo Bills to a commanding win against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday.

Allen delivered an impressive performance, completing 23 of 30 passes for 263 yards and adding 44 rushing yards. In the first half, he threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers, guiding the team to a decisive 47-10 victory.

The Bills are off to a 3-0 start this season, their best since 2020, when they reached the conference championship but lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.

“I really like watching Josh Allen play football! 🏈,” LeBron James shared on X (formerly Twitter).

The NFL's TikTok account featured LeBron James’ post in their highlight reel of Allen's plays, captioning it with:

“[T]he king has spoken 👑”

Recently, Allen was voted the most “overrated” quarterback in the NFL, and in an interview with The Facility, he addressed this by saying:

"I'm a logical guy, and I understand what the NFL is. There's 32 teams. There's 31 other fan bases and players that I hope despise me and just absolutely are sick of me because that means I'm doing the right things on the field for the Buffalo Bills.
"I think that it's a term of endearment and respect when guys don't like me or don't think I'm that great because I can you tell one thing: the guys that are in this building don't think that way."

LeBron James recently appeared in a TikTok video posted by Uninterrupted, where he shared his Mount Rushmore of NFL quarterbacks.

He named Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes and Joe Montana, then had to choose between John Elway and Peyton Manning.

He ultimately chose Elway, who holds the record for the most wins by a starting quarterback in NFL history. He holds a franchise record of nine Pro Bowls—tied for the most by any quarterback—and earned the NFL MVP award in 1987.

James has been a prominent figure among NFL stars who often praise the Lakers champ for his athleticism. Earlier this May, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce said that the "King" could excel in the NFL.

“If I was an NFL GM, and it was an option, I’d sign (LeBron James) today and within one offseason he’d be the greatest redzone threat in the NFL,” he said.
