Reed Sheppard's gf Brailey Dizney reacts to Rockets guard's reunion with former Wildcat Rob Dillingham in 2 words
Reed Sheppard’s girlfriend, Brailey Dizney, has supported him since his one-year collegiate stint at Kentucky. As a fan of the team last season, she watched Sheppard compete alongside Rob Dillingham. After a one-and-done year with the Wildcats, her boyfriend joined the Houston Rockets, while Dillingham landed with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
On Tuesday, the former Wildcats teammates faced off when the Rockets visited the Timberwolves. Dizney reacted to a photo of Sheppard closely guarding Dillingham, posting:
“That’s enough.”
Before the game, the London, Kentucky, native shared a picture of Sheppard and Dillingham exchanging a brief hug. Both players were smiling in the moment. Dizney, who seemingly joked about being jealous, captioned the story:
“Don’t call. Don’t text.”
Dizney’s emotional reaction to the meeting between the former teammates in the pros wasn’t surprising. Both played crucial roles in Kentucky’s 23-9 season last year. She also witnessed the Wildcats’ upset 80-76 loss to No. 14 Oakland in the South Region playoffs, where Kentucky entered as -13.5 favorites.
Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham squared off for the first time in the NBA
Reed Sheppard went No. 3 to the Houston Rockets before the San Antonio Spurs grabbed Rob Dillingham five spots later. The Spurs, however, traded Dillingham to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Both rookies impressed during summer league and preseason play but have struggled to earn consistent minutes in the 2024-25 NBA season.
On Tuesday, they faced each other for the first time in their young professional careers. Dillingham came in first with 3:46 left in the first quarter, replacing Jaden McDaniels. Sheppard got in when Rockets coach Ime Udoka called him to substitute Dillon Brooks with 1:53 remaining in the period.
In the tightly contested game, the two rookies started in the fourth quarter. Brailey Dizney’s boyfriend, however, sat out at the 8:23 mark while Dillingham played on. The Timberwolves guard briefly came out but returned to close out the game.
Rob Dillingham was subbed out with 28.1 seconds left in regulation. He finished with 12 points and five assists, while Sheppard went scoreless in nearly nine minutes but got the win.
