With the core still intact, Stephen Curry could win his fifth ring

The Golden State Warriors kicked off their season with a 123-109 statement win over the LA Lakers on Tuesdaay. The team handled their business pretty casually, taking advantage of the Lakers' lack of defensive capabilities.

Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green played decently. The Warriors' big three looked like a well-oiled machine and didn't seem to have lost a beat.

Curry led the team in scoring, with 33 points on 45.5% shooting. He did, however, shoot poorly from the perimeter, only knocking down 30.8% of his shots from long distance. The eight-time All-Star also grabbed six rebounds and dished out seven assists.

Out of all the teams that have played so far, the Warriors are the only ones that look like they know their goal. Their offense executed flawlessly and they can't be beaten on the defensive end. Even though at times coach Steve Kerr uses unusual defensive lineups, the Warriors often find a way to make things work.

Their chemistry is different from other teams, separating themselves with their greatness.

The core of Curry, Thompson and Green is still intact. For the Golden State Warriors, it's a good sign. The team can still rely on them to produce and possibly bring them another title. Out of all their championship seasons, this could be their toughest one yet.

Curry is already a legend, but he can still add another ring to his resume this season.

Curry, the No. 7 pick in 2009, became the NBA's all-time leading 3-point shooter last season.
