Reports: Ben Simmons is listed out against Wizards due to knee soreness

The Brooklyn Nets' Ben Simmons will miss tomorrow's matchup against the Washington Wizards due to knee soreness. Simmons had to leave yesterday's game against the Orlando Magic due to the same issue.

Simmons only played 11 minutes of action last night as the Nets took care of business against the Magic. Brooklyn won with a score of 109-102, which helped them improve to a 11-11 record in the Eastern Conference. The Australian sensation left the game with four rebounds and three assists.

The Nets say Ben Simmons won’t play with knee soreness tomorrow against Washington. He left yesterday’s win over Orlando with the same issue.

So far this season, Simmons has averaged 8.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.8 assists while playing 17 games. His confidence in handling the ball has taken a hit, but he's slowly getting his groove back on the court. The 6-foot-10 point guard has also entertained playing the center position, which has helped the team in different ways.

The Brooklyn Nets have dealt with a ton of issues to start their 2022-23 campaign. From the coaching change to Kyrie Irving's controversy, the Nets were the team that was always in the news. One notable aspect of this season that has been overlooked so far is Ben Simmons' availability for the team.

They've played 22 games so far, and Simmons has been willing to play 17 games this season. It also doesn't matter if the coaches assign him to play point guard or center positions. He's always up for the challenge, which has helped the Nets become a versatile team.

During a game where Nic Claxton didn't play, Simmons started the game as the team's center. He didn't excel in being the center on the defensive end as Steven Adams of the Memphis Grizzlies simply overpowered him on every possession. However, it was on the offensive end where he showed his talents.

Simmons had 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists as the Nets won against the Grizzlies that night. While he couldn't overpower the Kiwi big man physically, he made use of his intelligence down the stretch.
