Rich Paul delivers somber Father's Day message: "Stupid has become the new rich in black community!"

LeBron James' agent, Rich Paul, sent a strong message on social media for Father's Day. Not often Paul gets involved in controversy, but today, he took a different approach and aimed at the black community, urging them to 'stop killing each other.'

"Stupid has become the new “ Rich” in the black community!! Stop killing each other ! #BeKlutch #HappyFathersDay," Paul tweeted.

Rich Paul's name has grown in popularity in recent years. Besides being LeBron James' agent, Paul built a powerful agency, Klutch Sports, landing a notable number of stars.

Rich Paul was spotted alongside LeBron James at WNBA game

Before sharing this message on X (formerly Twitter), Rich Paul went to a special event in the WNBA. The New York Liberty visited the LV Aces for a rematch of the 2023 WNBA Finals. LeBron James and his wife, Savannah, were in attendance for this high-flying match, as well as Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo and Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard.

Rich Paul is going through a major offseason

The 2024 NBA offseason has become more important for the James family. LeBron James could make a surprising decision and leave the LA Lakers after six years with the Purple and Gold. Rich Paul fueled the rumors with a surprising quote, saying that James was a free agent back in May.

“Look, LeBron’s a free agent. I gotta focus on his business and who should be paying about his business," Paul said during the broadcast of the Dallas Mavericks vs Minnesota Timberwolves series.

Moreover, Bronny James' future is still a mystery given that there's not a clear path for him in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft. The 19-year-old guard spent only one season in college with USC, yet he declared for the draft, and the Lakers are reportedly interested in his services.

LeBron has done nothing but support his son, and Paul lauded the four-time NBA champion for his approach to this whole process. At the start of June, the agent said that James was changing the narrative about being an unsupportive black father.

"I'm not going to sit here and punish a dad for being excited about his son because for many years, the 'black father' was portrayed as absent and he was portrayed as non-supportive," Paul declared.

On that note, he sent a strong message for this year's Father's Day and plenty of fans agreed with it.
