"Rich Paul recruiting clients at the wedding", "She waited until he got that contract" - Fans' rib-tickling reactions to NBA stars' presence at Draymond Green's wedding
Draymond Green and Hazel Renee tied the knot over the weekend in a star-studded event featuring several notable celebrities. Green's teammate Steph Curry, was present at the wedding along with Jayson Tatum and LeBron James. Famous rappers DaBaby and Roddy Rich performed for the guests.
Seth Curry, Rich Paul, Andre Iguodala and Maverick Carter were also in attendance.
Fans were quick to take to social media to weigh in on Green's wedding. Many taunted Jayson Tatum for partying with players who beat him.
Green's former coach at Michigan State, Tom Izzo, was also at the wedding and was seen chatting with James. James complimented Izzo on his 2023 class, especially high school phenom Xavier Booker, who recently committed to the Spartans.
Draymond Green's wife Hazel Renee jokes about her husband's technical fouls and wedding fund
Green has a reputation for arguing with the referees to the point where he gets ejected. He was fined a bunch of times this past season for several infractions, ranging from flipping off fans to abusing a referee.
During the 2022 ESPYs, Green's wife Hazel Renee joked about the Warriors forward's violations. In a conversation with People Magazine, she stated that the technical fouls were "money down the drain" and could have been better spent funding the wedding.
"There's the wedding budget right there," Renee said. "If anyone wants to know where's the wedding budget, it's right there in text."
However, Renee admitted that she enjoyed the one against Memphis in the playoffs.
"The one in Memphis, in the playoffs, I really enjoyed. I enjoyed that one a lot. So that was fun."
Since 2015, Green has been in the top 10 in the league in technical fouls drawn each season. He led the league in that category in 2016, 2019 and 2022.
