Rob Dillingham stats tonight: How did Timberwolves rookie fare against Clippers?

Rob Dillingham and the Minnesota Timberwolves took on the LA Clippers in an NBA Cup matchup on Friday night. In Minnesota's last game against the Sacramento Kings, Dillingham only played six minutes and contributed one rebound.

Now up against the Clippers, Dillingham didn't show up in the first quarter as the Wolves coach kept him on the bench. Taking care of business for Minnesota in the opening period were Julius Randle, Anthony Edwards and Nickeil Alexander-Walker.

Come the second quarter, Rob Dillingham still didn't check in the game. Maintaining Minnesota's lead was Alexander-Walker. He helped the Wolves secure a 53-47 first-half lead by adding seven second-quarter points.

Rob Dillingham still didn’t play in the third quarter. Nevertheless, it seems his services weren’t needed as Anthony Edwards found his rhythm at the start of the second half.

His scoring performance in the third was the main reason why the Minnesota Timberwolves maintained their lead from the first half. Ultimately, the Timberwolves narrowly escaped defeat as they came up with a 93-92 victory. Dillingham never checked in the game, but it appears that Minnesota was fine without him.
