"Rodman advertise Jordan is crazy" - NBA fans abuzz over Dennis Rodman featuring in Air Jordan's latest commercial

Fans reacted to the new Jordan commercial showcasing former Michael Jordan's former Chicago Bulls teammate and polarizing basketball personality Dennis Rodman.

On Saturday, the Jordan brand released an ad for their new Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 'Velvet Browns.' The commercial had a surprise guest feature from Rodman, who had been transformed into a steampunk, Willy Wonka-esque figure within a large shoe factory.

The advertisement was released just ahead of Christmas and drew a wide range of reactions from NBA fans and sneakerheads alike.

In the commercial we see a long line of eager shoe fanatics waiting to enter the shoe factory (which is a giant version of the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 'Velvet Browns') and under the control of Rodman. As soon as they enter, the large crowd rushes towards the seemingly endless piles of Nike shoe boxes, trampling all over one another in the frenzy.

Fans made their feeling known about the former Chicago Bulls star's appearance in the advertisement.

"Got Rodman advertise Jordan is crazy," wrote a fan.

While many commentors were excited at the collaboration, and the Dennis Rodman cameo, others used the comment section as an opportunity to air out their frustrations with the Jordan brand, re-sell culture, and the shoe industry at large.

Fortunately for others, it appears some still managed to successfully purchase the sneakers before they sold out and those who did are certainly looking forward to it.

Rodman's daughter Trinity, a professional soccer player for the the U.S. Women's National Team and the Washington Spirit of the NWSL, recently spoke about Dennis Rodman as a father.

She said in an interview with Alex Cooper, host of the podcast Call Her Daddy that while they may be related by blood, "He's a person. He's not a dad." Rodman went to social media and publicly apologized for his parenting but his daughter was having none of it, calling the apology "A Joke."
