Ron Harper's son boasts big brother pride as he drops 3-word reaction to Dylan Harper's legacy claim

Looking ahead to the 2025 NBA draft, Dylan Harper has emerged as one of the potential top picks in the class. As he continues his impressive freshman season, his older brother took to social media to help build the hype.

Dylan is the son of five-time NBA champion Ron Harper, and the younger brother of Ron Harper Jr. While the Rutgers guard is progressing towards the pros, his Ron Jr. has already reached that level. After going undrafted, he's made a handful of appearances for the Toronto Raptors in 2023 and 2024.

Over the weekend, Dylan Harper posted a series of photos of himself on Instagram from Rutgers' recent games. He praised the men in his family in the caption, which led to his older brother re-sharing it on his own profile.

So far this season, Dylan is averaging 23.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists. He recently recorded his first double-double of the year, notching 24 points and 12 rebounds against Penn State.

As far as mock drafts go, Dylan is expected to come off the board fairly early. He is widely regarded as the No. 2 prospect in the 2025 class behind Duke forward Cooper Flagg.

Dylan Harper chooses his game-winning shot over his brother's

Part of the reason why Dylan Harper chose to attend college at Rutgers is because his brother went there. Recently, the potential lottery pick was forced to choose between his top highlight and Ron Harper Jr.'s

Last week, Dylan lifted Rutgers to a win over Seton Hall by knocking down a three-pointer as time expired. Ironically, his brother also had a thrilling game-winner during his time with the program. Back in 2021, Ron Jr. hit a shot from just inside the logo to knock off the No. 1 ranked Purdue in a massive upset.

Following his game-winner over Seton Hall, Dylan Harper was asked which shot was better between his and his brother's. As expected, the freshman standout sided with himself in this debate.

"I'm giving it to myself," Dylan said. "But I still owe credit to him too."

The game-winning shot capped off what was an impressive performance from Harper against Seton Hall. He ended the game with 24 points on an efficient 61.5% from the field and 57.1% from beyond the arc.

As the sideline reporter stated, there is likely going to be some trash talk between the Harper brothers in the near future. Both were able to knock down big shots for their team in clutch moments and are sure to have strong cases as to why theirs is better.
