Russell Westbrook's 'bored' dance to Kendrick Lamar's music leaves Anthony Davis, Sheryl Swoopes & more in splits
Russell Westbrook's latest social media post has the NBA fans and stars, including Anthony Davis, Sheryl Swoopes and more in splits. The Denver Nuggets star uploaded a video of himself dancing to rapper Kendrick Lamar's latest song on his Instagram handle.
Mr. Triple-Double informed his 23 million followers that he was bored as he wrote in the caption of his post:
"Just bored lol."
In the video, the Nuggets star is seen throwing out some dance moves to Kendrick Lamar's song, "Squabble Up," from his latest album "GNX." Westbrook follows the lyrics and the beats of the song with his moves on the floor. He also brings his face close to the camera when the lyrics talk about it.
Stars from the basketball community were taken aback by Mr. Triple-Double's post and they expressed their opinions in the comments section. Anthony Davis posted laughing emojis expressing his amusement.
Swoopes, on the other hand, hyped up Westbrook with her comment.
"YEAH Russ😂😂😂," Swoopes commented.
Former NBA star Dwight Howard was also seen in the comments of the Nuggets star's post. He posted an eye emoji and mentioned the reality TV dance show, "Dancing with the Stars," in his comment.
Clippers star P.J. Tucker also expressed himself in the comments along with former soccer professional Patrice Evra.
"Doin ANYTHING 🤣🤣🤣," Tucker commented.
"Dope🔥," Evra wrote.
Russell Westbrook has found his lost rhythm with the Denver Nuggets this season. The nine-time NBA All-Star averages 11.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game.
However, the Nuggets are going through a rough patch. The Mile High City currently has a record of 13-10 and is the sixth seed in the Western Conference standings.
Nuggets ace Nikola Jokic explains his connection with Russell Westbrook
Nuggets ace Nikola Jokic stated his connection with Russell Westbrook in a locker room interview after Sunday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. The Nuggets are not a dominant force like they were in the past few seasons.
They have been struggling to turn games in their favor and if not for Jokic's brilliance, they would have a far worse record this season.
However, Nuggets' offseason signing, Russell Westbrook, has surprised many fans with his great performances as the sixth man on the team. When asked about his connection with Brodie, the Joker kept it short and simple.
"We are talking on the floor, we are always trying to find the best way, the best solution," Jokic said about Westbrook. "Right now, I think it's working really good. We are just going to continue to do that ... I just look at him, and he look at me, and I think we just communicate by the eyes." (Starts 1:10)
The Joker and Brodie are both triple-double machines and if they can improve the synergy between them, the Nuggets can become the dominant force they once were.
