It appears Russell Westbrook is finding his stride with the Denver Nuggets, coming off arguably his best performance of the season on Monday night versus the Toronto Raptors. Westbrook impressed in the absence of Jamal Murray, giving a crucial performance as he adjusts to his role with his fourth team in five seasons. The 2016-17 MVP has been a strong veteran presence for the Nuggets thus far.
Following Denver's Monday night matchup, Westbrook was asked what he loves most about playing with young players.

Prior to giving his heartfelt speech, Russell Westbrook was giving the Denver Nuggets a vintage performance in their 121-119 win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night. Westbrook made his second start of the season in the absence of Jamal Murray.
In 34 minutes, the nine-time All-Star posted 22 points, six rebounds and six assists on 6-of-10 shooting. He finished as Denver's second-highest scorer behind Nikola Jokic, who finished with a game-high 28 points in his triple-double effort, grabbing 14 rebounds and dishing out 13 assists.
Westbrook helped the Nuggets to their fourth win in their last five games, steadying the ship with a 4-3 record through seven games to start their 2024-25 campaign. The 35-year-old posted his second game with 20-plus points so far this season, with his first game coming in Denver's win over the Brooklyn Nets on October 29.
