Savannah James gloats over LeBron James' stellar triple-double showing vs. Serbia
LeBron James' wife, Savannah, loved his performance for Team USA's 95-91 win against Serbia on Thursday to advance to the gold medal game against France. All eyes were on Steph Curry's 36-point performance for the 2024 Paris Olympics but James also had a big game for the national team.
The LA Lakers star finished the game with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to help Team USA mount a 17-point comeback. The Americans were down for the majority of the game but worked together to seal the win in the final period. James shot 66.7% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc.
Savannah was hyped after the game and boasted about her husband's triple-double night on Instagram.
James' performance has helped Team USA make their 18th appearance in the gold medal game. In the national team's history, they've only lost once in the final round at the Olympics. That happened back in the 1972 Olympics in Germany when they went home with a silver medal.
Team USA will need more of what James and Curry produced tonight. On Saturday, they will take on the host team, France, to win another gold medal.
The French men's national basketball team isn't an easy squad to beat. They have the towering tuo of Rudy Gobert and Victor Wembanyama. The team also has competent scorers, Nicolas Batum and Evan Fournier, who always step up their game whenever they compete for their country.

LeBron James reflects on his historic performance against Serbia
LeBron James did everything for Team USA to capture the win against Serbia. He scored, rebounded, passed and defended well. His efforts weren't the main reason they secured the win, but they played a significant factor in their current Olympic run.
After the game, James shared how he wanted to contribute to the team in any way possible. This is how Curry was able to take over the game for them when they needed a scoring outburst.
"Whatever role that the team needed me to play. I understand I've got to do a little bit of everything, so Chef had it going offensively, Joel like I said chipped in, so it's my job to keep finding those guys, try to clean glass, and score a little bit from time to time," James said.
James was also impressed by what Curry did on the court. He expressed how the team has been waiting for a game from the Golden State Warriors star for some time. Thankfully, it happened during the game when they needed it the most.
