Scottie Pippen inspires with Kobe Bryant's iconic training regimen in motivational message

Scottie Pippen has been posting inspiring advice and messages on Instagram. The six-time NBA champ usually encourages people to work hard or to "be real," and rarely disappoints fans when he engages them on social media.

On Friday, the Chicago Bulls legend shared another message that could help others who are looking for inspiration:

“Usain Bolt trained for 20 years. You saw him for 9.58 seconds.
“Kobe Bryant made 1,000 shots a day during practice. You saw the 5-time NBA Champion.
“Pablo Picasso created over 50,000 works of art. You saw the man who defined modern art.”
“Thomas Edison tested 1,000 prototypes before inventing the lightbulb. You saw the man who lit up the world.

Pippen continued:

“What you do when nobody is watching will define what they see when everyone is.
“Just because the world doesn’t see your greatness yet doesn’t mean it’s not there.
“Keep going.”

Kobe Bryant jumped into the NBA from high school when Scottie Pippen was in his 10th season in the league. Pip and the Chicago Bulls were amid their second three-peat when the Black Mamba turned pro. The two had fierce battles on the court, but both remained respectful of the other.

Although Bryant was much younger than Pippen, the LA Lakers legend left an impact that inspired people across generations. The former Bulls superstar was only too happy to share what KB24 accomplished and use his life story to motivate others.

Scottie Pippen never won a playoff series against Kobe Bryant

After leaving his dynastic success with the Chicago Bulls, Scottie Pippen joined the Houston Rockets during the 1998-99 season. Pippen helped his team to the playoffs, where they lost in four games to Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers.

The following season, Pip took his talents to Rip City to play with a star-studded Portland Trail Blazers team. Bryant and Co. eked out a classic seven-game thriller in the Western Conference Finals.

The Blazers and the Lakers met in the first round of the playoffs in the next two years. On both occasions, Bryant’s team swept Pippen’s squad. Michael Jordan’s former teammate is 0-4 in postseason rounds against the Black Mamba.
