Scottie Pippen's daughter Sophia Pippen shares birthday snap for Scotty Pippen Jr. in father's Team USA gear
Scotty Pippen Jr., Scottie Pippen’s eldest son with former wife Larsa Pippen, celebrated his 24th birthday on Sunday. The Memphis Grizzlies guard couldn’t be with his family during the special occasion, as his team had a game against the Blazers in Portland. Scotty started and finished with 17 points, four rebounds and two assists in the Grizzlies’ 134-89 victory.
After the game, Pippen received a warm greeting from his sister, Sophia Pippen. The emerging model wrote on Instagram:
“Happy birthday @spippenjr I love you”

The photo in the post showed the Grizzlies guard wearing Scottie Pippen’s Team USA gear. He had the Barcelona Olympics suit of his father, a two-time gold medalist in men's basketball. Sophia stood beside him while wearing a cropped tank with a suit decked with the red, white and blue colors of the American flag.
The birthday photo was not the first time Sophia Pippen appeared on Instagram with Scotty Pippen Jr. while wearing their father’s gear. A few months back, they also did a commercial wearing Chicago Bulls shorts. In a behind-the-scenes picture, the NBA legend stood behind them.
Scotty Pippen Jr. had a solid birthday game against the Portland Trail Blazers
Scotty Pippen Jr. had business to handle before celebrating his birthday. He was in Portland with his Memphis Grizzlies teammates for a matchup with the Blazers. Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins had to lean on Pippen more, as the team played without Ja Morant, Desmond Bane and Marcus Smart.
Jenkins inserted Pippen into the starting lineup, as three of his best and most experienced guards were out. The birthday celebrant stepped up to deliver as needed. He orchestrated the team’s offense and scored when necessary. Pippen was efficient with his shots, making 6-of-8 attempts, including 2-of-3 3-pointers. He went 3-for-4 from the free-throw line to finish with 17 points.
Pippen stays in California during the offseason with his father, two brothers and sister, Sophia Pippen. As the Grizzlies’ next game is in LA on Wednesday, he might have a belated birthday celebration with his family before playing against the Lakers.
