Sha'Carri Richardson dubs LeBron James a 'legend' for Lakers superstar's legacy impacting masses
Track and field star Sha'Carri Richardson had high praise for LA Lakers star LeBron James for his legacy in the world of sports. Richardson shared her thoughts on James on her Instagram on Tuesday.
James claimed there have been moments when he has wondered what future generations would think of him. According to him, if he only gets to be a topic when it comes to basketball, he thinks he will fail. The NBA star wants to be remembered as more than a basketball star.
Richardson shared this bit on her Instagram stories and had a few words to say about it.
"This is a legend! Everybody doesn't play sports but everyone knows what it's like to be a human."
James shared this to put perspective on the things he does for his community. Since becoming a basketball star, the four-time champion has often given back to the less fortunate and needy. A prominent example of this is his work with "The LeBron James Family Foundation."
He helps out families, specifically through education. In 2018, he kickstarted the "I Promise School" and is now catering to first to eighth-graders.
The basketball icon wants the things that he has done off the court to also be part of a discussion.
LeBron James shared which Olympic sport aside from basketball he can compete in
LeBron James has shown over the years that he can play different sports other than basketball. The most obvious sport is football since he played the sport back in high school. Other fans think that James can be a heavyweight boxer given his height and incredible reach.
Fans had the chance to learn about what other sports James could do well in the recent episode of "The Shop." With the ending of the 2024 Paris Olympics over the summer, the four-time MVP thinks he can join an Olympic event and perform well.
"There's zero competition I could compete in without preparation," James said. "But I think maybe the long jump? The long jump or the high jump. If you give me some time, I need about six months or eight months (of) preparation to get to that."
James talked about it at the 4:20 mark.
James is known to have a 40-inch vertical jump. With that, competing in the high jump event could be possible for the basketball superstar.
