Shaquille O'Neal fuels beef with Dwight Howard by highlighting throwback from 6'0" guard dunking over him on IG

The beef between Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard does not appear to be ending anytime. After a few weeks of silence from both sides, the four-time NBA champion refueled the beef once again on Monday by bringing up the time 6-foot Chris Paul dunked on Howard almost two decades ago.

On December 20, 2006, in a game between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Orlando Magic, Chris Paul threw an impossible dunk posterizing Howard. What made the dunk legendary was the height difference between Paul and Howard, who was also one of the best defensive stars in the league.

Shaquille O'Neal took to his social media and reposted the video from "@throwbackhoops" on his Instagram Story. He also reposted one photo of Paul smacking Howard in the face as he dunked.

The beef between Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard is over a decade long. Two of the best big men in NBA history have often exchanged words on social media going at each other. Both Howard and Shaq have enjoyed star status with the Orlando Magic.

Dwight Howard calls Shaquille O'Neal "petty" for bringing up Superman debate

The quest for Superman's title between Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard has been very long. Despite both players time and again taking a shot at each other, the beef doesn't seem to go away. Shaq continues to say that he is the only Superman in the NBA.

Last month, O'Neal wrote on social media that Howard can't call himself by his name when he just has one title, and that too came as a backup player.

"U can't call yourself me and have one ring that u was a role player in getting. It's only one baby. And I said it."

In reply to Shaq, Howard wrote that he never nicknamed himself Superman and instead others gave him that name. The former Lakers player also alleged that Shaq had blocked him.

“Shaq I never called myself you!” Howard wrote. “This is petty My nickname is DEEBO! Other people called me Superman & we could've talked out whatever issue there is but you got me blocked. But It's all love Shaq 100 Keep being a legend!”

Moreover, Howard added to his attack on Shaq and called him petty saying that in reality there was no Superman.

"Who blocks someone over a nickname owned by Warner Brothers. There is no REAL Superman. It sounds petty."

While Howard appears ready to let the beef with Shaq go, Shaq doesn't seem to want to do so just yet.
