Shaquille O’Neal shares how he plans to achieve his New Year resolution: “I want to be known as the Black Mark Wahlberg"
Shaquille O’Neal has a new goal for the new year. The basketball legend, who won four championship titles during his impressive NBA career, is now focused on his health. More specifically, O'Neal wants to lose weight.
While the Hall of Famer has lost weight recently, he wants to keep doing it and get in much better shape. Here's what he said to ET:
"I think I could get the Marky Wahlberg look. I want to be known as the Black Mark Wahlberg."
Mark Wahlberg is a popular actor who is a good friend of Shaq. The actor recently appeared on TNT's "Inside the NBA" show, where he shot some hoops with the crew.
Shaquille O’Neal has already lost some weight
During his impressive basketball career, O'Neal was one of the heaviest players in the league. Standing at 7-foot-1 and weighing over 300 pounds, the big man dominated his opponents with ease.
Thanks to his weight and strength, Shaq was able to win four championships and numerous other accolades. However, he is no longer in the league and understands that he has to work on keeping his body in good shape.
O'Neal told ET:
"I lost 40 pounds. I need to lose about 20 more, but impressive. Imma get real chiseled up and do an underwear ad with my sons."

The basketball legend was born on March 6, 1972, and his goal is to reach his target weight by his 51st birthday. Shaq's New Year's resolution is definitely the right choice and it will be interesting to see if he achieves his goal.
Shaquille O’Neal has revealed his plans to lose weight. The former NBA champion intends to walk at least 30 minutes a day and eliminate unhealthy eating habits, including bread and soda.
During the coronavirus lockdown, the basketball legend weighed 415 pounds, which is why he's decided to work on his health and get back in shape.

During his amazing basketball career, Shaquille O’Neal was mostly listed at 325 pounds. However, this is not completely accurate and even the four-time NBA champion admits it.

Back in 2002, the Los Angeles Lakers won their third straight championship thanks to O'Neal's impressive skills. During the NBA Finals, the big man averaged 36.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks.
Despite being listed at 315 pounds at the time, O'Neal revealed that he weighed 395 pounds during his third championship run. This would make Shaq the heaviest NBA player of all time.
