"She’s a BEAST": LeBron James heaps glowing praise on Napheesa Collier after latest heroics

LeBron James had high praise for Minnesota Lynx superstar Napheesa Collier following a remarkable performance in Game 3 against the Connecticut Sun in the second round of the WNBA playoffs. Collier led the Lynx to steal the third matchup of the series at Mohegan Sun Arena with a 26-point, 11-rebound double-double.

The 2024 Defensive Player of the Year drew a lot of attention with this performance. After Tyrese Haliburton praised her on X, formerly Twitter, James agreed with the Pacers guard.

"FACTS!!! She’s a BEAST! Game so damn smooth and complete! TOUGH," James tweeted Saturday morning.

Collier is arguably the second-best player in the WNBA this season, only behind A'ja Wilson. The forward is a dangerous two-way threat that couldn't be stopped by the Sun on Friday. She was the answer when the Lynx couldn't get past the defense, making a statement in an important game for the rest of this series.

She shot 11-of-19 from the floor and 4-of-5 from the free-throw line to lead her squad to the 90-81 win. Collier took the Lynx to the No. 2 seed in the WNBA after a tremendous season where she was the MVP runner-up and the DPOY.

Napheesa Collier played 34 games for the Lynx, averaging 20.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.4 blocks per game, shooting 49.2% from the field and 80.4% from the free-throw line.

LeBron James calls out Celtics broadcast over Russell Westbrook comments

LeBron James was active on X on Saturday, sharing his opinion on Napheesa Collier's game but also clarifying some of the things he saw on this social media. After denying that he joined the Lakers for how they took care of Kobe Bryant in his final seasons, he clapped back at the Boston Celtics broadcast for saying Russell Westbrook was the Lakers' scapegoat when he played with James.

"Took a trip all the way to Abu Dhabi to be on my.....Eat some breakfast first! Anyways Brodie a LEGEND 🫡," James tweeted.

LeBron James and the LA Lakers started the preseason on Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. They lost 124-107 at Crypto.com Arena without James and Anthony Davis on the court, as JJ Redick rested them both.
