"Shimmy pissed me off" - Former Nuggets guard recalls Steph Curry stunning Denver's bench with his first no-look shot

Steph Curry is widely regarded as the best shooter the NBA has ever seen. Known for his ability to drill clutch 3-pointers, the Golden State Warriors guard is capable of crushing his opponents with a late-game dagger, followed by one of his unique celebrations.

On the "Raw Room" podcast, former Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson opened up on the challenges and complications that come with facing one of the game's greats. Lawson shared that he was on the receiving end of one of Curry's first no-look 3-point shots. It is a signature Curry move where he throws up a three and looks away before making the shot.

"Steph was tough...the shimmy pissed me off at first. It was against us where he started turning around too. I'm looking at the ball and looking at him and he says 'boom!'...splash...Steph you different bro," Lawson said.

Over the last decade, Steph Curry has led the Warriors to four NBA championships, with the latest one in 2022 over the Boston Celtics. He is a two-time league MVP and also holds the NBA record for most 3-pointers with an incredible 3747.

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Steph Curry reminded the world why he is considered one of the game's elite shooters. The 36-year-old was outstanding during the semifinal and final wins over Serbia and France and was instrumental in guiding the USA men's national team to their fifth consecutive gold medal.

Steph Curry had a slow start to the competition but saved his best for the last with a remarkable shooting display versus Serbia. With his team trailing by 13 points going into the final quarter, Steph took control of the game, finishing with a game-high 36 points and nine 3-pointers.

The finals versus France was another tense encounter. Curry recorded four 3-pointers in the last three minutes to crush any hopes of a French comeback. The marksman bid farewell to the crowd with his legendary night-night celebration after his final three points.

The night-night taunt, known now in France as the "nuit-nuit" celebration, has become famous globally after Curry's standout performances at the Olympics.
