Siblings bond in full display as Shaquille O'Neal's sons send love to Myles O'Neal's latest announcement
Shaquille O’Neal’s son, Myles O’Neal, has dropped new music titled “Clockin.” It is the latest in Myles' emerging music career after carving out a different path from his siblings.
With this new song release, Myles received numerous praises from his followers on his Instagram page. Among those were his brothers Shaqir and Shareef, who both commented with emojis that signified how good their brother’s new track was.
For Shareef, he simply put up a fire emoji, while Shaqir typed a clock emoji, to which he got a reply from Myles:
“Clockin my boy,” the musician wrote.
Here are the brothers’ interactions on the social media site:
Myles started to release music last year with his first single, Superficial, getting over 400 thousand listens from Spotify. He has also since collaborated with some of the rising stars in rap music, such as Sickick and Chantal Jeffries.
Myles is Shaquille's stepson, as he is the biological child of the former LA Lakers star’s ex-wife, Shaunie Henderson.
Shaq explains why he pushes his sons to create a successful path on their own
After a momentous NBA career, O’Neal has remained in the limelight, keeping his celebrity status intact throughout the year. However, O’Neal wants to keep his sons humble and create their path in life.
In an interview with Burnbury Magazine in 2021, O’Neal shared what he tells his sons all the time to motivate them to have a name for themselves in whatever career they pursue to take in their lives, especially his sons.
“My kids are older now. They’re a little upset with me. Not really upset, but they don’t understand. I tell them all the time: we’re not rich, I’m rich. No, you have to have a bachelor’s, a master’s, and then, if you want to invest in one of your companies, you’re going to have to present it, bring it to me, and I’ll let you know. I’m not giving you nothing. The girls, I’ll take care of the girls, but my boys, they’re not getting anything,” O’Neal said.
O’Neal also emphasized that his children will have to earn everything in their life:
“There’s one rule: education. I don’t care if you play basketball. I don’t care about any of that. Listen, I got six kids. I would like a doctor, someone who owns a hedge fund, a pharmacist, a lawyer, someone who owns multiple businesses, someone to take over my business. But I tell them, “We’re not just going to hand it to you. You have to earn it.”
O’Neal has been one of the most successful basketball players ever, winning four championships in a 19-year NBA career. He has also established different businesses after his retirement and leveraged his name value to create more wealth for his family.
