Skip Bayless reacts to LeBron James' stellar play and Bronny James' struggles following historic moment: "I just don't know"
Veteran analyst Skip Bayless reacted to the historic moment of LeBron James and Bronny James becoming the first father-son duo to share the court in an NBA setting. The two played together during the LA Lakers' 118-114 preseason loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
LeBron and Bronny delivered contrasting performances, with LeBron shining in the first half while Bronny struggled to find his rhythm from start to finish.
After witnessing the duo play together for the first time, Skip Bayless seemed to express doubt about the effectiveness of Bronny playing alongside his father on the Lakers.
"LeBron and Bronny made history sharing the court in tonight's preseason game. LeBron was great, scoring 19 in 16 minutes. Bronny took one shot in 13 minutes, missed it, and had 4 turnovers. I just don't know," Skip wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Bronny didn't see action in the first quarter, but millions of fans got their wish in the second quarter when he and LeBron shared the court. On their first possession together, the father-son duo applied full-court pressure on the Suns.

Later in the period, coach JJ Redick benched Bronny as the former USC guard struggled to establish a rhythm on either end of the floor.
While LeBron James delivered an exemplary performance, his son Bronny struggled to shine under the bright lights. LeBron, who played only the first half, put up 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc. The 20-time All-Star also contributed five rebounds, four assists and two blocks in just over 16 minutes of play.
In contrast, Bronny went scoreless, missing his lone 3-point attempt. The 20-year-old had a rough outing, turning the ball over four times and grabbing two rebounds in 13 minutes of action.
