Indiana Pacers star and Olympic gold medalist Tyrese Haliburton's dog, Ames, has built up quite a following on social media. Since being adopted by the standout guard during his rookie year during the 2020-21 season, Ames has become a social media sensation, racking up over 2,800 followers on Instagram.
Despite fans mostly calling him a "good boy," Ames was recently caught in the act after stealing a bone that didn't belong to him. Haliburton's longtime girlfriend, Jade Jones, shared an Instagram story about it on Wednesday night.
Along with the photo, Jones also added Michael Jackson's hit song Smooth Criminal. She captioned the photo:

Tyrese Haliburton's dog Ames gets his own photoshoot with Haliburton's gold medal after 2024 Paris Olympics
After a big 2023-24 NBA season that saw Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers make it all the way to the NBA Cup finals during the regular season and the Eastern Conference finals in the playoffs, he joined Team USA for the Paris Olympics.
Throughout the Olympics, Team USA continued to impress, going undefeated to capture Olympic gold. Haliburton, however, appeared in only three of the team's six games.
While Haliburton is no slouch, Team USA was loaded with so much talent that Hali just didn't find enough playing time. Moreover, he was also dealing with a minor injury issue that restricted his participation.
After winning Olympic gold, Haliburton organized a photoshoot with his dog Ames where the doodle was seen wearing the medal and was draped in an American flag.
The photoshoot also saw Ames, who is named after the city where Iowa State, where Haliburton played NCAA basketball, is located, and Haliburton pose for several photos together. The pictures went viral on social media.
With the 2024-25 NBA season right around the corner, expect to see plenty more photos of Haliburton and his dog Ames throughout the season as he looks to unwind between games. The Pacers will be rearing to go farther after a pretty successful 2023-24 season.
