Spotted: LeBron James with eye bandage seen courtside with Savannah James supporting women's Team USA vs Nigeria
While LeBron James has continued to impress at the 2024 Paris Olympics, leading Team USA to an undefeated record through their first four games, the future Hall of Famer was seen with a bandage over his eye on Wednesday. While he and fellow Team USA star Bam Adebayo were seen sitting courtside at the USA women's game against Nigeria, it was James' bandage that caught the attention of fans.
Late in the game, with Team USA leading after three quarter of action, LeBron James took an elbow to the eyebrow, opening up a cut on the four-time NBA champion's face. As the blood poured from the wound, it quickly became apparent that James would need medical attention.
The LA star went back to the locker room, and missed the remainder of the game, with coach Steve Kerr revealing to media members after the win that James needed four stitches to close up the cut.
Despite that, James, his wife Savannah, and Adebayo were all in attendance for the USA women's basketball game against Nigeria on Wednesday, where the team took a commanding lead in the first half of action.
In a photo posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, Washington Post NBA writer Ben Golliver shared a photo of James and his wife with Dirk Nowitzki:
A separate photo from Golliver then showed a bandage over James' eye after receiving stitches.

Since arriving to training camp for the 2024 Paris Olympics, LeBron James has been a man on a mission for gold. After being named as the best player on Team USA by his fellow teammates, James showed that despite his age, he still has the ability to carry a team to victory.
In Team USA's international friendly against South Sudan leading up to the Olympics, James hit a clutch game-winning bucket to give Team USA a win, extending their unbeaten record this summer.
In Team USA's final international friendly leading up to the Olympics, James again provided a late-game lift for Team USA, giving the team a lead in the final minutes of the game.
Since the start of the Olympics, he has continued to impress, averaging the second-most assists per game of any competitor with 7.8 apg. While may have sustained a cut over his eye, Steve Kerr made it clear that the injury wouldn't keep James from competing in the Olympic semifinals on Thursday.
The team is set to face off with Serbia in a highly anticipated rematch from the Group Phase that will pit Nikola Jokic against Joel Embiid, assuming the 76ers star plays.
If the team gets their fifth win, they will then play the winner of the upcoming semifinal game between Germany and France in the gold medal game on Aug. 10.
