Steph Curry to feature as main character in graphic novel 'Sports Superheroes' illustrating his NBA journey

Steph Curry is taking an exciting approach to telling his story as the Golden State Warriors star is set to release a graphic novel featuring him as the lead character.

Sports Superheroes is a graphic novel that will document Curry's basketball journey from the very beginning. It will look at his career from high school to college at Davidson, to his historic success in the NBA as a four-time champion and two-time NBA Most Valuable Player.

Curry and the NBA provided an inside look at the graphic novel on social media on Tuesday afternoon.

"You'll see my journey through the ranks, from the time I was born all the way to current day. All the ups and downs from the career and lessons I've learned," Curry said. "There's plenty of times where people were constantly telling me what I couldn't do, what I wasn't, how small I was. What do you do with that energy? For me, it was trying to write my own story and believe in myself.

Steph Curry went on to discuss the impact of his book on the next generation, saying:

"Giving kids age-appropriate, culturally-relevant books that can give them the inspiration they need to find their best self. A book is a great way to get that inspiration. I also understand there's a lot of opportunity to impact the next generation in a myriad of different ways."

The graphic novel is available in stores now and can be purchased on Amazon for around $9.99.

Steph Curry discusses friendship with LeBron James after Olympic gold medal

In an interview with People on Tuesday, Steph Curry discussed his friendship with LeBron James and being teammates with the Lakers forward on Team USA at the Paris Olympics.

"All the battles we've had on the court and the back-and-forth, the fact that we actually got to be teammates in high stakes basketball," Curry said, "I think there's a deepened respect and friendship there."

Curry and James played a crucial role in Team USA's run at the Olympics, igniting the team with alley-oops and big-time shots in crucial moments.

It's also worth noting that the Warriors attempted to trade for LeBron James at the 2023-24 NBA trade deadline.

Steph Curry is set to enter his 16th NBA season, all with Golden State, having received a one-year extension to keep him with the Warriors through to the 2026-27 season.
