Anthony Davis hails Steph Curry's greatness after win against Serbia in Paris Olympics semifinals
Team USA had its back against the wall in its semifinal clash with Serbia at the Paris Olympics. However, Steph Curry produced one of his greatest games to drag his team to victory.
With his team trailing most of the game and his teammates struggling, Curry kept scoring. He ended the game with 36 points, the second most by an American player in Olympic basketball. He made nine 3-point shots in just 33 minutes.
Team USA entered the fourth quarter with a 13-point deficit, but Curry, LeBron James and Kevin Durant stepped up to take the game away from Serbia. They outscored Nikola Jokic's team 32-15 in the fourth quarter.
After the game when Davis was asked about the win, he said:
"Got Two words, Stephen Curry. Joel Embiid."
Davis' Lakers teammate LeBron James also gave a shoutout to Curry. James said he knew Curry was going to have a game of this kind very soon.
“It was only a matter of time before he had one of these games. We could see it every day, he puts too much work in not to have a game like this," James said. "We wouldn’t want it any other way, it was perfect timing for [him] to come out and do what he did.”
With a gold medal against his name, Curry has achieved almost everything in his basketball career.
