Steph Curry gives hilarious answer to ambiguous question after Golden State Warriors' key win over Celtics - "It gets us above .500"

Steph Curry appeared rather composed after the Golden State Warriors notched a huge win against the Boston Celtics. While defeating one of the best teams in the East was a cause for celebration, Curry hilariously expressed the reality of the situation.

The history behind the matchup presented a battle of epic proportions. A rematch of last year's NBA Finals in the regular season would have seen the Warriors emerge as favorites. However, the Dubs faced an uphill battle heading into the game.

Golden State, as reigning champions, haven't been in the best condition this season. The impact of their Finals run has been telling and with the additional internal conflict, the Dubs have been facing a downward trend in performance.

Meanwhile, the boys from Beantown have looked better than ever. As the team with the best record in the league, the Celtics have been nothing short of dominant.

The Warriors showed some semblance of the form they're known for on Saturday. Taking an early lead to spur a dominant second-half performance, Golden State put an end to their losing streak in tremendous fashion.

After the win, Curry was asked what a win against the best in the East would do for the team going forward. The Warriors superstar responded by saying:

"It gets us above .500."
Lisa Salters: "What does a win like this do to right the ship?"

Stephen Curry: "It gets us above .500"

Curry's response and laugh afterwards is telling of the Warriors' current situation. As a team that hasn't been able to hit their stride early in the season, the Dubs find themselves in an unexpected position.

With a long season ahead of them, Golden State face the tough task of correcting their course. The team continues to face challenges on the court and within their ranks. With a continued run of poor performances on the road, the team is far from being a title contender.

However, a win against the Celtics, given the history of the matchup, could do a lot to boost morale. As each win puts them in a better position to do so, the Warriors will hope to build some positive momentum in light of their overall form.

Steph Curry was dominant against the Boston Celtics

A major reason for the Golden State Warriors' success against the Boston Celtics was the brilliance of Steph Curry. As the Warriors faced the possibility of falling below .500, the Warriors superstar shone brightest to lead the team to a win.

Steph Curry started the game off hot as he shot 2-3 from behind the 3-point line in the first quarter. He maintained this form in the second as he continued to drain deep threes to hurt Boston's chances.

Although the third and fourth quarters saw relatively less inspiring perimeter shooting, Steph Curry remained an active threat. Ending the night with 32 points, six rebounds, and seven assists, the Warriors superstar shone on a night when his team needed him most.

Along with Curry, Klay Thompson also went off for 34 points for the crowd at Chase Center. With the Splash Brothers doing a number on Boston, Warriors fans will hope to see their star duo build upon this momentum.
