Steph Curry's mother Sonya Curry expresses gratitude for veterans with touching Veteran's Day message
Steph Curry is coming off a magnificent performance on Sunday in a 127-116 win versus the Oklahoma City Thunder ahead of Veteran's Day. Fast forward to Veteran's Day on Monday, and the Curry family showed support for Veterans on a day of appreciation for the armed troops.
Steph Curry's mother, Sonya Curry, took to Instagram to share a message for veterans, including her father, who served.
"Wishing a Happy Veterans Day to my Daddy and all veterans. Thank you for your service and sacrifice! 🇺🇸 ❤️ 🙏🏿," Sonya Curry posted on her Instagram story.
Sonya Curry's father is Cleive Ester Adams, but not much is known regarding his military service. Despite maintaining privacy regarding the matter, the Curry family is immensely proud of his service.
Steph Curry's Warriors posts 4-1 record on road trip
Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors kicked off its 2024-25 campaign with a 4-1 record, entering a grueling five-game road-trip, making stops in Boston, Cleveland and Oklahoma City. The Warriors continued its dominant play during this five-game stretch, winning four of five games on the road.
The Warriors had a five-game win streak snapped by an emerging Cleveland Cavaliers squad, but bounced back with a win over Oklahoma City in Curry's 36-point performance on Sunday night. Golden State sits at 8-2 through its first 10 games, on the back of remarkable play from Steph Curry.
Curry posted a season-high 36-points on 13-of-23 shooting, connecting on seven of his 13 3-point attempts. He dished out seven assists and grabbed five rebounds in a vintage performance for the 36-year-old guard.
In seven games, Curry is averaging 22.0 points, 6.3 assists, and 4.6 rebounds in his 16th NBA season. Curry and the Warriors will be back at home for their next two games, facing off against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night. It will be followed up with a matchup versus the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.
