Steph Curry's sister-in-law, Callie Rivers-Curry, reacted to Ayesha Curry's major business move in Santa Monica, California. Ayesha announced the opening of her new cafe at the Regent Santa Monica Beach resort on Friday. It's Sweet July's first location outside the Bay Area in California.
In an Instagram post, Ayesha expressed her gratitude for all the business success she has earned. She shared several photos outside the Sweet July Cafe at the Regent Santa Monica Beach resort and also teased images inside the establishment soon.
"God is good. @sweetjuly cafe Santa Monica is now open at the @regentsantamonica !!! Come see us for the most insanely delicious bread puddings and lattes among other things. (Sharing pics of the space next! Stay tuned)," Ayesha wrote.
Ayesha's co-sister-in-law, Callie Rivers Curry, reacted to the news with a message in the comments section. Callie, the wife of Steph Curry's younger brother Seth Curry, is also the daughter of Milwaukee Bucks coach Doc Rivers.
"Cuuute," Callie commented.
Ayesha Curry launched Sweet July in 2019
Ayesha Curry is not just the wife of Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry. She's also a successful chef and businesswoman, with the launch of her Sweet July company in 2020. Her brand started as a lifestyle magazine, brick-and-mortar store and product line.
Fast forward to four years, Sweet July has its own television and media production division, as well as its own skincare brand. Ayesha also opened several cafes in the Bay Area, including San Francisco, Del Mar and Las Vegas.
Sweet July's Santa Monica cafe will offer a bunch of California cuisine from Ayesha's love for the farmer's market. It will also offer coffee, tea and pastry, as well as grab-and-go items.
Ayesha Curry opens up about being a businesswoman
In an interview with Inc. last week, Ayesha Curry opened up about being a successful entrepreneur with help from her famous superstar husband.
It all started with building a following and having her own online community. She explained that her success wouldn't have been possible without the support of the right people.
"I surround myself with a lot of people who have the same core values and same goals as me," Ayesha said. "I'm more of the creative mind, the big ideas girl behind Sweet July. And then I have my wonderful team around me to be like, 'Pump the brakes, girl.'"
Ayesha added that Steph Curry is more involved with their Eat.Learn.Play. Foundation. They co-founded it in 2019 and have been helping families in the Bay Area.
