Steph Curry’s whiskey bottles get a new tag ahead of golf tournament connected to $3.28b brand

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry has launched numerous business ventures outside basketball. Two of Curry's primary businesses are his "Gentleman's Cut" whiskey and the "Underrated Golf Tour." As the latter gets ready for its biggest tournament of the year, the former MVP used the former to help with promotion.

On Tuesday, Curry posted a clip of Gentleman's Cut bottles on his Instagram story. These were a special set, as they also featured a promotion of the "Curry Cup" on the base.

Curry has partnered with several brands. Among the biggest is Under Armour, valued at $3.28 billion, according to Forbes. Not only does UA help sponsor events, but they also make an official shoe for the Underrated Tour.

Steph Curry launched Gentleman's Cut in May 2023. The product can be found at most liquor stores and sells for around $79.99 a bottle.

As for the Curry Cup itself, it is the premiere event of the Underrated Golf Tour. In it, the top 24 boys and girls of the program compete in this big end-of-year event. The Curry Cup also features a pair of champions from overseas who won one of their previous tournaments.

Golf is a sport that the Golden State Warriors star is extremely passionate about. This pushed him to launch "Underrated," a program attempting to bring the game to underrepresented groups.

Steph Curry speaks on mission with Underrated Golf program

Like most professional athletes, Steph Curry has attempted to use his platform to help inspire the next generation to achieve their goals. The "Underrated" golf program is just one of many ways he does this.

During an interview for the PGA Tour, the four-time NBA champion touched on his desire to start this program. For him, it's about providing a positive space for the youth to explore their interests and passions.

"I’ve been blessed throughout my life in terms of people who believed in me and supported me in whatever I was passionate about -- not just sports, but any other interests that I had -- so that confidence that you have from that is contagious," Curry said.
"You can move mountains with that. If we can be that for the next generation in all different facets of their lives in terms of our foundation, Eat.Learn.Play., by providing necessary resources for them to live a healthy and happy childhood."

Steph Curry added that giving back to the next generation will continue to be a goal after he is done on the basketball court.

“Basketball’s going to end at some point -- hopefully not too soon -- but the opportunities we’ve been able to establish off the court will be a part of my life goal for the long run, in terms of giving back,” Curry added.

Even with all he's done in basketball, it's evident that Steph Curry wants his legacy to span far beyond the NBA hardwood.
